Miriam Williamson curates a range of exhibitions locally and further afield. In 2020 she was invited by NSW National Parks Blue Mountains Heritage Centre to curate an exhibition program responding to the natural environment.

Underground BMCC

Following the success of the initial ‘pilot’ at the Blue Mountains Heritage Centre, the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre selected the group to expand on the curatorial premise for a major exhibition in the city art gallery.

What’s that Skip?

An exhibition initially inspired by the 1960’s TV series ‘Skippy the Bush Kangaroo’ and her place in our national psyche. Historian Dr Naomi Parry-Duncan opened the exhibition at WAYOUT Artspace, with Blak Douglas performing a Didgeridoo piece accompanying his pivotal painting, ‘Air to the Drone.’

Using geology as inspiration and source material, four artists look at mining of resources, environmental systems, human impact, the history of fossicking and the collection of minerals.

The Altitude Project

The Altitude Project takes to the skies with a group of sound and installation artists to explore the notion of ‘altitude’ over a number of Blue Mountains locations.
